He was here for a Completely Unrelated Reason, but he's forgotten it now.

It's not something he doesn't Understand, really. He's got a Sense of why there are pages upon pages of writing on this desk, why there are familiar Names scattered through them and where the Impulse to craft a more perfect world comes from, although he himself had never been able to take pen to page about it.

But he's got his own Stories. He's got a whole Universe in his mind where Isaac and Urania have lived Happily Ever After in their very own Castle in the stars, where Victor and Zoë have their own beautiful Children, where his Father and Mother are Very Much in Love.

That doesn't make this tale involving himself and Zoë any more Sensible. That's why he's here puzzling over the pages rather than Whatever he came here to do, barely paying attention to the door.

He's not quite There, but he's good at Getting There on a rushed schedule. She'll only have to endure a few more moments before he hisses in something half like pleasure.

She'll get a kiss if she's quiet.

Unfortunately, Nelly isn't exactly one to keep quiet, if he hadn't figured that out already. "Well, that's certainly an... innovative way to ruin my work," she murmurs breathlessly, looking down at the papers scattered over the floor.

Such high hopes--dashed. "Will you hush for-- five seconds, Miss?"

Five seconds. She can probably do that. But- "Why?"

"So we can enjoy this for half a second." Or, well. She seemed already to be. But didn't he get any Quiet Afterglow?

"... enjoy?" She blinks up at him. "But-- I thought--"

[piqued]

"...thought what, exactly?" He hasn't let go of coddling her yet, although he's nearly ready to Give Up and get completely up.

She doesn't answer - not quite. Unless leaning up to kiss him quietly counts as a response.

[piqued]

It doesn't. Does. Whatever.

It certainly counts to make him pause, lips almost gentle against hers.

Her fingers curl at the nape of his neck, and she counts for ten seconds after pulling back before she murmurs, "better?"

[piqued]

"...yes." And that, and Solely that, is why he's kissing her again, fingers abandoning her hips to tangle in her mussed hair for a moment.

It almost feels like the kiss isn't spiteful. It's... a little scary. But with his fingers tight in her hair, she won't pull away.

Spiteful Afterglow is exhausting. Better to actually Enjoy a few moments being Close, kissing Softly.

Spite will come back when he properly pulls away.

She is quiet when he's kissing her. He does like that in her. He's rather Content to linger here a little longer, nip just gently when he pulls his lips from hers.

She ducks her head when he pulls away, only looking up to let him catch her lips again. "You... probably need to go."

"...I do." One more kiss. One more tight squeeze of her thighs before he pulls back completely. "Have... a lovely day, Miss."
